Who is the REAL fool on April Fool’s Day ???

Bismillah !
The first day of April is marked by an unethical and un-Islamic celebration which is ‘April Fool’s Day’. Unfortunately, many Muslims celebrate it by playing jokes on others and making up false stories to scare others.
Many Muslims ask about the permissibility of celebrating this day. In my opinion, this question can be answered by providing answers to the following questions.

** DOES ALLAH COMMAND US TO CELEBRATE THIS DAY IN THE QURAN?

 

What does Allah tell us about lying and liars in the Quran?
“It is only those who believe not in the Ayah (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, who fabricate falsehood, and it is they who are liars.” [al-Nahl 16:105]
Allah tells us how He will deal with the liars, the lying sinful liars, in surah Al Alaq. (chpater 96).
“Allah will grab him by the (naseyah) [frontal lobe of the brain], the lying sinful (naseyah).

** DID PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Sallellahu Alleihi Wassalam) CELEBRATE IT?

NO!
What did the Prophet Muhammad (Sallelahu Alleihi Wassalam) say about lying in jest?
It was narrated that Mu’aawiyah ibn Haydah said: “I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: ‘Woe to the one who talks to make the people laugh and tells lies, woe to him, woe to him.’”
(narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 235. He said: this is a hasan hadeeth. Also narrated by Abu Dawood, 4990).
Quran and Prophet’s Sunnah are the foundations of Islam and when no evidence for this celebration is found in either then it means this celebration is not permissible.

** What is the status of those Muslims who celebrate April Fool’s day?

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” (Reported by Abu Dawood, 4/314).
The one who imitates the kuffar, is declared to be one of them according to the hadith.
The real fool on this day is the Muslim who celebrates this day because he goes against Quran and Sunnah and tarnishes his Muslim identity as being truthful is one of the main qualities of a Muslim. His foolishness takes him closer to Hellfire and away from Paradise.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala help us in following the Quran and Sunnah and keeping away from innovated matters... Aameen ya Rabb...
