Question and Answer

Q : I've got a little problem! so me and some of my friends kind of like have been like enemies with each other like we never really talk or say hi when we meet i dont know whats her problem with me what shall I do? And well shes also been backbiting a lot too

Answer :

Confront her. Talk to her - that is the only solution that there is in this kind of cases.

The Shaitan loves this, and you are just letting him laugh at you because the more you let this problem stay and live in your hearts, the more it will create a gap between you and your friends and friendship stays in chaos.

Backbiting- that is a root of evil.

Let me ask you to do some of these:

Examine yourself. Reflect from these queries I have for you:

• How can you be sure your friend has been backbiting you?
• Who told you your friend has been backbiting you?
• How can you be sure this friend of yours who tells you is trustworthy?
• Are the things they are “backbiting you about” true?
• What have you done that “you think” gives her the reason to backbite you?
• Have you also backbit your friend? For what reason?

After you have asked yourself, then reflect well, then compose yourself and approach her make the first move, it doesn’t matter who is right or wrong here because in Islam, the one who gives the initiative of reconciling with disputes is rewarded for their good deed. in sha Allah.

After you have approached her and she still continues then in sha Allah you’re just earning her good deeds and she’s earning your bad deeds. As long as you’ve done things to reconcile then Allah Azza Wa Jall is Just and will bring and give you justice upon this.
_____

If you and this friend had been through a lot of things, been with each other for so long then save the friendship, sometimes friendships fail because there is no remembrance of Allah Azza Wa Jall in it.

And if there is no hope to save this friendship between you guys, then do not despair but pray for Allah Azza Wa Jall that He guides your friend and that know that He will replace someone so much better to be your companion. bi’ithnillah.

Remember what the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam once said:

“A person is upon the religion of his companions, so let one of you carefully choose the company that he keeps.” [Tirmidhi]

You have to keep in mind that people who come to our lives are either a lesson or a blessing, whatever the case is, let them become a reminder of the love of Allah Azza Wa Jall.

I pray this problem is resolved as soon as possible. in sha Allah.
