Islam prohibits statues and all the pictures that stature, such as human and animal sculptures.
The
prohibition level will be increased if the sculpture is a form of
eminent people, such as the king, the prophet, the Messiah, or Maryam; or shape of the pagan deities, such as the cow to the Hindus.
Then such a prohibition level of its increasingly powerful that
sometimes reached the level of infidels or approaching disbelief, and
those who justify it considered infidels.
Islam is very attentive in maintaining monotheism, and all the things
that come into contact with the aqidah of tawhid was sealed.
Some people say, "Such opinion is valid only at the time of idols and idolatry. There was now no more idols and idolaters. "
This remark is not true, because in our present time there are people who worship idols and worship cows or other animals. Why do we deny this fact?
In fact, in Europe we have encountered many people who simply do not worship idols. You will see that in the era of advanced technology is something they
still rely on horse poultice for example, or on the vehicle as a
repellent reinforcements.
Humans in every age there is always believed superstition. And the weakness of the human mind sometimes causes them to accept something that is not true. So that people who claim to any civilized and scholars could fall into
the valley of evil, that in fact this can not be accepted by reasonable
people illiterate.
Islam
far been anticipating it so that forbids everything that these habits
can lead to idolatry attitude, or which contains elements of idolatry. That's why Islam prohibits statues.
There are even people who depend figurines to amulets and other measures to ward off envy, genie or disease. Thus, the prohibition of its doubled since the join between the prohibition of amulets and statues illegitimate.
In
conclusion, the statue was not allowed (haram), except sculpture (doll)
for the game of small children, and every Muslim to stay away.
