How To Stay Up All Night + Go To Work/School Next Day ???

A very common question I get during these last 10 nights is how do I balance between praying taraweeh, qiyam/tahajjud prayers, eat suhoor, pray fajr, read Quran, and go to work next day  ???..

Here is a step-by-step practical plan to help answer this question:

1. Have a light iftar meal, and head to the masjid as soon as you finish your iftaar. Remember that the “night” begins after maghreb, so if you want to get maximum reward, you need to be in the masjid as early as possible as soon as the night begins.

2. When entering the masjid - set your intention that this time you’re spending in the masjid is for I'tikaaf (seclusion).

3. Spend the time before Isha reciting Quran, performing dhikr, making dua etc and waiting for Isha. Remember that the angels pray for you when you’re waiting for the Salah. (Also, this can be a good time to give charity in secret when the masjid is empty and not many people are around - you can give charity in the donation box at the masjid or donate to a cause online).

4. Pray Isha + Taraweeh then take a nap in the masjid immediately after taraweeh (minimum 20 minutes - maximum 90 minutes, depending how much time you have); this will energize you for the rest of the night.

5. Wake up from your nap, make wudhu, and pray the Qiyam/Tahajjud prayers as well as the Witr prayer in the masjid.

6. If suhoor is provided in the masjid - have suhoor at the masjid and you can take a 2nd nap before Fajr prayer in the masjid. Otherwise you can go home, take a short nap, and wake up for suhoor and fajr prayer.

7. Pray Sunnah of Fajr prayer + fajr prayer in the masjid, then do the morning remembrances, and recite Quran till sunrise.

8. Come home and take another nap (minimum 20 minutes, maximum 90 minutes (or longer) before you need to head out to work/school).

9. During work/school take power naps at noon (20 minute naps) to energize you.

10. After you come back from work/school sleep for another 90 minutes at least to energize yourself for another night.

What you’re trying to do is to find opportunities to take short/long naps to keep you going every step of the way.

If the above is too hard for you to keep up with (and I highly recommend that you try it at least once), try your best to fit what you can and skip what you can’t keep up with…as long as you can honestly say it was the best that you could do given the circumstances, know that Allah is All-Forgiving and All-Thankful

Hope this helps..

I know it can be tough; especially if you have work/school to keep up with in the last 10 nights, but a little bit of sacrifice for your hereafter is something you’ll never regret !!

Best Of Luck <3

Classifications Of Martyrs

Many types of death have been described as martyrdom (shahada) by the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) in his hadiths

1. Abu Hurayra (Allah be well-pleased with him) reported that the Prophet said: “Who do you reckon to be martyr (shaheed) among you?” They replied: “The one who is killed in the way of Allah.” He said: “In that case the martyrs among my people would be few!” They asked: “Messenger of Allah! Then who are the martyrs?” He said: “He who is killed in the way of  Allah is a martyr; he who dies naturally in the Cause of Allah is a martyr; he who dies of plague is a martyr; he who dies of a stomach disease is a martyr; and he who is drowned is a martyr.” [Sahih Muslim].

When he was asked why plague is considered as martyrdom, he replied: “It used to be a form of punishment that Allah would send on people, but He made it a mercy for the believers. Any believer who perseveres through it will get the reward of a martyr.”

2. “There are five kinds of martyrs: One who dies of plague; one who dies of a disease of the stomach or intestines; one who drowns; one who is crushed in a collapsing building; and one who is martyred in the way of Allah.” [al-Bukhari, Muslim, Malik]

3. “He who is killed in the way of Allah is a martyr; he who dies of plague is a martyr; a woman who dies due to pregnancy and a woman who dies during delivery, her baby will drag her into Paradise with the umbilical cord.” Musnad Ahmad.

4. “The one who dies of Dhaatul-Janb is a martyr.” Ibn Hibban and others. Dhatul-Janb is a disease in which a swelling happens in a membrane under the rib bones that could lead to death. From the contemporary diseases to which this
also applies is death due to cancer.

5. “Dying due to the plague is martyrdom.” al-Bukhari and Muslim.

6. “Whoever is killed defending his property is a martyr.” al-Bukhari and Muslim

7. “He who dies defending his property is a martyr; he who dies in defense of his own life is a martyr; he who dies in defense of his faith is a martyr; and he who dies in defense of his family is a martyr.” Al-Tabarani.

8. “Dying in fire is a martyrdom.” Al-Tabarani and Ibn Hibban.

9. “The keeper of my Sunna at the time my Community has lapsed into corruption will receive the reward of a martyr.”
Al-Tabarani.

10. “Anyone who asks for shahada truthfully shall be given it even if it does not happen to him” i.e. even if he dies peacefully in his bed.  Narrated in the Four Sunan.

11. “Whoever leaves his house in the way of Allah then dies or is killed is a shaheed, whether his horse or camel tramples him, or a venomous animal stings him, or he dies in his bed, or in any kind of death Allah wills, truly he is a shaheed and shall have Paradise.” Sunan Abi Dawud and al-Hakim.

12. “There are seven kinds of martyrdom other then being killed in the way of Allah: the victim of a stomach disease (al-mabtun) is a shaheed; the victim of fire is a shaheed; the drowned person is a shaheed; the victim of cancer is a shaheed; the victim of plague is a shaheed; the victim of debris is a shaheed; a woman who dies from complications of
pregnancy is a shaheed.” Ahmad, the Sunan, al-Hakim and Ibn Hibban, Sahih.

13. “Whoever dies as a stranger or in a strange land dies a shaheed.” Narrated by Ibn Majah and declared sound by al-Daraqutni.

14. “Whoever recites the Divine Names in the last three verses of Surat al-Hashr after the dawn or after Maghrib then dies that day or that night, dies a shaheed.” Al-Tirmidhi (hasan).

15. From Anas: the Messenger of Allah (upon him blessings and peace) told me: “My son, if you are able to always be on wudu‘ then do so, for the angel of death when he seizes the servant’s soul while the latter is in wudu‘, he records martyrdom for him.” Al-Bayhaqi in Shu`ab al-Iman and al-Hakeem al-Tirmidhi in Nawadir al-Usul.

16. “Whoever prays duha; fasts three days of the month; and never omits witr, shall receive the reward of a martyr.” Al-Tabarani in al-Kabir.

17. “If death comes to the student of knowledge while he is thus engaged, he dies as a martyr.” Al-Bazzar with a very weak chain.

18. “Whoever falls passionately in love (`ashiqa) but remains chaste and keeps his love secret then dies, dies a shaheed.” Narrated by al-Hakim and others. The hafiz Mughultay said: “Its chain is like the sun, there is not the least doubt over its soundness whatsoever.”

19. “Whoever dies the night before Jumu`ah or the day of Jumu`ah will be spared the punishment of the grave; and he shall come on the Day of Resurrection bearing the stamp of martyrs.” Abu Nu`aym from Jabir but the most authentic part is the first part.

20. “The rider who dies thrown off by his mount is a shaheed.” Al-Tabarani.

21. “The one who speaks to a tyrannical leader and commands and forbids him, then the latter kills him–he is a shaheed.” Al-Hakim.

22. “The muezzin who expects reward is like the bloodied shaheed and when he dies and is buried the worms leave him alone.” Al-Tabarani.

Peace and Blessings upon the Prophet, his Family, and his Companions

And For Sure, Allah Will Help You

17 Ramadhan
This was the day, the battle of Badr took place.

Indeed, almost all Muslims and non Muslims know about this great battle, but more than it being a battle it is also a treasure chest of reminders and reflections.

As much as I wanted to narrate the whole story about this Badr, I chose to pick one of the highlights of this event - the angels sent as help from Allah Azza Wa Jall.
_____

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam remained in the hut praying earnestly to Allah Azza Wa Jall to protect the Muslims and grant them victory. Allah Azza Wa Jall says in the Qur’an:

“Remember you implored the assistance of your Lord. And He answered you: ‘I will assist you with a thousand of angels, ranks on ranks. Allah made it but a message of hope, and assurance to your hearts: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah: and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.” [Qur’an Al Anfal: 9-10]

It was narrated by Al Bukhari on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas RA who said, “On the day of the battle of Badr, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam said,

“O Allah! I appeal to You (to fulfill) Your Covenant and Promise. O Allah! If Your Will is that none should worship You (then give victory to the pagans)!’

Then Abu Bakr RA took hold of him by the hand and said. “This is sufficient for you.” The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam came out saying a verse from the Qur’an, “Their multitude will be put to flight and they will show their backs.” [Qur’an Al Qamar: 45]

Ibn Ishaq said that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam persisted in praying to Allah to grant him victory, which He had promised to him, and Abu Bakr RA would tell him, “O Prophet of Allah, your Lord will fulfill His Promise to you.”

While the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was in the hut he slept a light sleep; then he awoke and said, “Be of good cheer, O Abu Bakr. Allah’s help is coming to you. Here is Jibrail holding the rein of a horse and leading it. The dust is upon his front teeth.”

Then the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam went forth to the people and incited them, saying, “By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, no man will be slain this day fighting against them with steadfast courage advancing not retreating but Allah will cause him to enter Paradise.”

Al Bukhari narrated on the authority of Rafi Al Zuqri RA who was one of the Badr warriors that Jibrail came to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam and said, “How do you look upon the warriors of Badr among yourselves?” The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam said, “As the best of the Muslims.” Or said a similar statement. On that, Jibrail said, “And so are the Angels who participated in Badr.”

Indeed, angels did participate in the battle of Badr. Ibn Abbas RA said that the Angels did not fight any battle but Badr. In the other battles they were there as reinforcements, but they did not fight.

In this context, Ibn Ishaq reported that Waqid Al Laith RA said that I was pursuing a polytheist at Badr to smite him, when his head fell off before I could get at him with my sword, and I knew that someone else had killed him.

_____

This short excerpt from the event that took place that day would really tell you how Allah Azza Wa Jall helped, helps and will help those who call upon Him, and He when He helps, He Helps in the BEST way, in here, with the best of angels.

Now, let us ponder hard about this. How many times have we called upon Allah for help when we were facing such trials and hardships in our life? And how many times did His help come? Yet, most of the times we fail to recognize that there is no Help except in Allah.

His help can come in different ways, in different times but such help were the structured in the best way it can ever be, because it was from Allah Azza Wa Jall.

How cruel is our heart that when we find ease from something that hurts us, we couldn’t even utter Alhamdulillah. How cruel is it that when we find a way out from a situation that we thought we could never escape, we couldn’t even think of thanking Allah for it. How cruel is it that when we want something so much yet we couldn’t get it, instead of thinking that it must have been for the best for us, we blame his Qadr.

How many of us hit rock bottom? How many of us had the worst of cases, yet we are still here, reading this, breathing? The help of Allah is ever but near. It is us who refuse to call upon Him. It is us who doesn’t.
_____

And we pray that through remembering the battle of Badr and what has taken place during that day would also enlighten and uplift our heart to be thankful for what we have been blessed with and to remember such mighty people who have fought for this religion and send salutations to our beloved Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

Aameen.

______

This was a day of victory. This was a day of triumph.
Let this victory live on through worshipping Allah in the best way possible.

Who Is A Shaheed ??

Who is classed as a shaheed ?
With reference and also instant death, does that come under the same category ?
Stomach illness and plague are these classed as martyrs ?
Do we have a reason why ?

The scholars have classed shaheeds in two categories.

The first are those who are considered shaheed in the real sense.
(They are considered a shaheed in this world as well as the hereafter)
These kind of shaheehds are buried without a ritual bath.

The second are those who will have the rank of a shaheed in the hereafter but the rules of a shaheed will not apply to them in this world and they are shaheed in a constructive sense.

The first type are those sane, adult Muslims who are free from major impurity (hadath e akbar) and are killed unjustly by Muslims or by a Non Muslim citizen of a country ruled by the Muslims with a sharp object. Or is killed by a belligerent disbeliever in a country ruled by disbelievers or by bandits or rebels or is found killed in a battle zone. Also in an Islamic country there is no financial compensation in punishment of this killing, instead qisas (even retaliation) is obligatory. If a person was wounded in any of the above categories and he did not gain any enjoyment of life such as eating, drinking, sleeping, medical treatment etc, he will be considered a shaheed. (Durrul Mukhtar, Vol 1, P669)

The second types of shaheed who will have the rank and honour in the hereafter but the rules of shahadah do not apply to them in this world are many and are in excess of forty. These are not mentioned in a single Hadith but have been taken from different narrations. Allama Ibn Abideen has mentioned these kinds of shaheeds in his book Raddul Muhtar, (Vol1, P672)

The word shaheed would normally be used for the first type of people, however it is permissible to call the people who fall in the second category shaheed. (Also if instant death was caused due to those situation mentioned in the Ahadith then that person will be considered a shaheed)

The reason why these are also categorised as shaheeds can be understood by the Hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah that Allah's Messenger (sallal lahu alayhi wa sallam) asked: "Who do you consider to be a martyr?" They said: "O Allah's Prophet, he who is killed fighting for the cause of Allah." The Prophet (sallal lahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "(If this is the definition of a martyr) then very few in my Ummah will be martyrs!” They asked: "Who else are they, O Allah's Messenger?" He said: "He who is killed fighting for Allah's cause is a martyr, he who dies in the cause of Allah is a martyr, he who dies in an epidemic is a martyr, he who dies from a stomach disease is a martyr, and the one who dies of drowning is (also) a martyr."  (Muslim, no: 891)

It is a blessing of Allah that he has made possible great rewards for the people of this Ummah despite minimal effort and sacrifice. We the Ummah can only benefit from this. Mulla Ali Qari explains the above Hadith that these people will also have the rank of shaheed and will share only in some of the same blessings and bounties of the actual shaheed but not necessarily in every aspect and rank. (Mirqaat, Vol 7, P376). The greater reward, high rank and honour are reserved for those who are considered to be shaheeds both in this world as well as the hereafter.

 Only Allah knows best.

Never, By Allah ! Allah Will Never Disgrace You

And do you know who said this?

Do you know why this was said?

SubhanAllah.

Indeed, you find it amazing that you hear it from a great woman when Islam was yet to be introduced.
But, she was not like any other woman, she was the woman whom Allah Azza Wa Jall handpicked to be the companion of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam on his greatest journey.

She was Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid Radiyallahu Anha.
_____

Wallahi whenever I go through the story of the beginning of the Wahy (revelation) to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam, this part with his wife truly melts my heart.

I really find it amazing on how Allah Azza Wa Jall placed such love and wisdom upon Khadijah Radiyallahu Anha, she just had this beautiful way of comforting the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

… When he (The Prophet) arrived home, he was received warmly by Khadijah Radiyallahu Anha as usual. He asked Khadijah RA to cover him with a blanket because he was still shivering. Khadijah RA gave him a blanket. When he felt better, he expressed concerned about what was happening. He narrated the whole incident and said that he was frightened and actually feared for his life.

By this, Khadijah RA with her beautiful soul, reassured the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam with such words above (Never, by Allah! Allah will never disgrace you.”

Khadijah RA reassured the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam of his praiseworthy character and attributes. She reminded hiim that he was always truthful, that he brought people’s hearts together, that he helped the poor and the needy, assisted the weak, and treated his guests.

Subhan’Allah, the words of Khadijah RA at that time were full of wisdom.

By reminding him of the good things he had done for years, she essentially said that a person with his character could not be disgraced by Allah; if anything, Allah would honor such person.

_____

Allahu’akbar !

Khadijah RA gave the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam, reassurance.

Wallahi, I have seen how marriages broke because the other spouse couldn’t give such reassurance to the other. May Allah Azza Wa Jall make it easy for everyone. Amin

Indeed, reassurance is hard to find from people, because some people love for the sake of love, just loves what is happening right now, but those who love for the sake of Allah Azza Wa Jall, doesn’t only care about the love that is now and the time that is now, but they think beyond the future in the dunya but the future for the akhirah, your life after death!

Always reassure the person you love of the good things they have, for there are people on this world that love so big but receive so little, and all they usually ask is to be reassured that they are loved back or that they are cared for as well.

To those who are married, let this be a reminder for you and your spouse on how such things should be handled when there comes a calamity or distress upon each other.

To those who are bound to marry, learn from the character of Khadijah RA, whether you are the groom or you are the bride to be, incorporate this beautiful character of Khadijah RA.

To those who are still looking for marriage, reassure your parents with the love you have for them, that no matter what age they reach you will always be there for them.
_____

And we pray that Allah Azza Wa Jall grants us pious companions in this dunya that remind us of the akhirah.

Aameen Ya Rabb

It Is The Joy And Happiness It Brings That Truly Counts

And they smile.

They smile.

And some even jump out of joy and gives so much appreciation.

O how beautiful is that? How heart warming is it to see that someone gave out a genuine smile because of something you gave and hand over to him/her.
_____

Often times, whenever we are to give out some gifts, we are impatient.

Yes, impatient to wait for the person to give it to to appear infront of us, how many times have we been asked to give something to our relatives and when we reach their homes and we find them not there, we give it to someone and just ask them to give it to that person when he or she arrives.

Guilty as charged, right? We did that, we have done that and sometimes we still do that.

Let me tell you about Umm Khalid Radiyallahu Anha and The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

She was born in Abyssinia to Khalid Ibn Sa’id Ibn Al-’As and Umaymah Bint Khalf Al-Khuza’iyyah Radiyallahu Anhum. Her father was amongst those who were honoured to perform the Hijrah to Abyssinia.

Her name was Ammat Bint Khalid but she was often called by her parents Umm Khalid. She acquired knowledge of the Abyssinian language at a very young age.

One beautiful thing about the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was that he did not just love his companions alone but also their families, and their children. He would actually mention them on special occasions. (Subhan’Allah what an honour of being mentioned by the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam)
_____

One day, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was given some clothes including a black khamisah. So, he said to his companions: “To whom shall we give this to wear?”

The companions kept silent whilst wondering who the fortunate person who would receive this beautiful garment would be. The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam said: “Bring(Fetch) Umm Khalid for me.”

A companion quickly went to Khalid and informed him that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam requested his daughter. Without delay, her father used to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam with his daughter in his arms and presented her to him.

So, the companions yearningly watched as the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam gave the black khamisah to Umm Khalid and put it on her and said with his own tongue: “This is sanah (beautiful), O Umm Khalid!”

Wallah, the girl was so delighted by the gift and was hugely honoured that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam given her it to wear with his own hands. Not only did the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam do this but he also supplicated for her three times: “May you live so long that your dress will wear out and you will mend it many times.”

_____

Subhan’Allah the beautiful character of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

Come to think of it, he was the Messenger of Allah, he could have just send this gift to the kid in their house, but he did not, he wanted to give it to her personally and share the young girl’s joy at receiving it.

And did you know that truly Allah Azza Wa Jall answered the du’a that was made by the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam for Umm Khalid? Yes, because Umm Khalid was amongst the last of the sahabiyyat (female companions) to return to Allah. Allahu’akbar.
Contemplate my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, look at how our Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was. If you were to give a gift for your fellow Muslims, then be the one to hand it over, and do not just ask someone to give it for you, because the very essence of you giving that is not attained.

It is the joy and happiness that it brings that really counts, it is the only thing that you can’t buy in this world, because this kind of joy and happiness lasts a long time, a lifetime.

Did you think Umm Khalid forgot what the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam has done for her? It might have been a little act for many, but for her it was an honour that lasted for her lifetime.

Even at old age she would be reminded of this event and she would be filled with the same joy as it had filled her heart that very moment. Allahu’akbar.

It is the little things that we usually do that leaves so much impact in both our and others’ lives. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah for Islam.
_____

And we pray Allah Azza Wa Jall enlightens our hearts and guide us to be amongst those people who live and revive the sunan of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

Aameen Yaa Rabb

Time And Death Should Be Both A Reminder To Strengthen The Ties Of The Family

“They do not remember us anymore, since our father passed away.”
Are we not familiar with such line? Do we not hear it from someone in our family? It is quite disheartening to know that this is happening in most Muslim families.

The heart finds it hard to understand that once a happy and strong bond of a family becomes in chaos after the death of the head of the family.

Indeed, I have seen this happening, the offsprings left are totally left behind when at these very moments they are to be cared, thought of and loved the most.
_____

I wouldn’t want to describe and elaborate the situations that such families encounter anymore but I would like to share this beautiful character of Hasan Ibn Ali Radiyallahu Anhu that would remind you and make you think of how one should be towards the family of a relatives of ours leaves after his/her death.

Once, Mu’awiyah Radiyallahu Anhu inquired from a resident of Makkah about Hasan Ibn Ali’s RA daily routine.

The person told Mu’awiyah RA that Hasan stayed in the masjid remembering Allah Azza Wa Jall after fajr until it was sunrise, at which time he would offer shuruq prayers.

He would then be surrounded by tribal elders for some time. Afterwards, he would visit the wives of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam. Sometimes, he would also take them gifts. After visiting them, Hasan would return home.

______

Look at the beautiful thing that Hasan Ibn Ali consistently did after the death of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam.

This quality and character can be seen in almost all the Sahabah RA, remember how Abu Bakr As Sideeq RA would go and take care of the old woman she would serve food and clean her house for everyday without her even knowing?

Ponder about it my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, nowadays, we need to post on facebook a fundraiser to take care of a family left by a brother, (there is nothing wrong about it) but where are the immediate family of these people? I hope you all are getting my point here.

Don’t let the death of a family member eventually cut the ties of you and them, rather make this a reason to strengthen your ties with them, visit them, inquire about them, it doesn’t take as much to ask how they are with all the gadgets that technology has given us.
_____

And we pray that Allah rekindles our heart to be able to realize how much we have gone far from our family relatives just because the head of their family have passed away.

May Allah forgive us and strengthen us through His Guidance and Blessings. Aameen.

CONCEPT OF GOD IN OTHER RELIGIONS SCRIPTURES CHRISTIANITY, JUDISM, HINDUISM, SIKHISM, ZOROASTRIANISM

CONCEPT OF GOD IN Christianity

Bible (New Testament)

Jesus Christ Never Claimed Divinity

One may ask, if both Muslims and Christians love and respect Jesus (pbuh), where exactly is the parting of ways? The major difference between Islam and Christianity is the Christians' insistence on the supposed divinity of Christ (pbuh). A study of the Christian Scriptures reveals that Jesus (pbuh) never claimed divinity. In fact there is not a single unequivocal statement in the entire Bible where Jesus (pbuh) himself says, "I am God" or where he says, "Worship me". In fact the Bible contains statements Attributed to Jesus (pbuh) in the which he preached quite the Contrary. The following statements in the Bible are Attributed to Jesus Christ:

"My Father is greater than I."[The Bible, John 14:28]

"My Father is greater than all."[The Bible, John 10:29]

"... I cast out devils by the Spirit of God ...."[The Bible, Mathew 12:28]

"... I with the finger of God cast out devils ...."[The Bible, Luke 11:20]

"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; Because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father, the which hath sent me."[The Bible, John 5:30]

THE MISSION OF JESUS CHRIST (PBUH) - Fulfill TO THE LAW

Jesus (pbuh) never claimed divinity for himself. He Cleary Announced the nature of his mission. Jesus (pbuh) was sent by God to confirm the previous Judaic law. Clearly this is evident in the following statements Attributed to Jesus (pbuh) in the Gospel of Mathew:

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one Jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

"Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven; but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

"For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."[The Bible, Mathew 5: 17-20]

GOD SENT JESUS '(PBUH)

The Bible mentions the prophetic nature of Jesus (pbuh) mission in the following verses:

"... And the word the which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's roomates sent me."[The Bible, John 14:24]

"And this is life eternal, that they MIGHT know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Whom thou has sent."[The Bible, John 17: 3]

Jesus Refuted even the remotest Suggestion of his Divinity. Consider the following incident Mentioned in the Bible:

"And behold, one Came and said unto him, 'Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?'

And he said unto him, 'Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. ' "[The Bible, Mathew 19: 16-17]

Jesus (pbuh) did not say that to have the eternal life of paradise, man should believe in him as Almighty God or worship him as God, or believe that Jesus (pbuh) would die for his sins. On the Contrary he said that the path to salvation was through keeping the commandments. It is indeed striking to note the difference between the words of Jesus Christ (pbuh) and the Christian dogma of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus (pbuh).

Jesus (pbuh) of Nazareth - a Man Approved of God

The following statement from the Bible supports the Islamic belief that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God."Ye men of Israel, hear Reviews These words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God Among you by miracles and wonders and signs, the which God did by him in the Midst of you, as ye yourselves Also know." [The Bible, Acts 2:22]

THE FIRST Commandment IS THAT GOD IS ONE

The Bible does not support the Christian belief in trinity at all. One of the Scribes once asked Jesus (pbuh) as to which was the first Commandment of all, to the which Jesus (pbuh) Merely repeated what Moses (pbuh) had said Earlier:

"Shama Israelu Adonai Adonai Ila Hayno Ikhad."

This is a Hebrew quotation, the which means:

"Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord." [The Bible, Mark 12:29]

It is striking that the basic teachings of the Church such as Trinity and vicarious atonement find no mention in the Bible. In fact, various verses of the Bible point to Jesus' (pbuh) actual mission, which was to fulfill the law revealed to Prophet Moses (pbuh). Indeed Jesus (pbuh) rejected any suggestions that divinity Attributed to him, and explained his miracles as the power of the One True God.

Jesus (pbuh) Tus reiterated the message of monotheism that was given by all Earlier Prophets of Almighty God.

NOTE: All quotations of the Bible are taken from the King James Version.

"I am Lord, and there is none else, there is no God besides me."[The Bible, Isaiah 45: 5]

"I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me."[The Bible, Isaiah 46: 9]

OLD TESTAMENT CONDEMNS idol worship

Old Testament condemns idol worship in the following verses:"Thou shalt have no other gods before me, Thou shalt not make unto thee any Graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:" "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."[The Bible, Exodus 20: 3-5]

A Similar message is repeated in the book of Deuteronomy:

"Thou shalt have none other gods before me.Thou shalt not make thee any Graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that in the earth beneath, or that is in the water beneath the earth.""Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."[The Bible, Deuteronomy 5: 7-9]

CONCEPT OF GOD IN hinduism

1. Common Concept of God in Hinduism According to the common Hindu:

2. If you ask a common Hindu Gods that how many he believe in, some may say three some may say thirty three, some may say a thousand while some may say thirty three crore i.e. 330 millions. But if you ask this question to a Hindu man who is well learned Versed with the Hindu Scriptures, he willreply that the Hindus should actually believe and worship only one God.

3. Difference between Islam and Hinduism is 's'
(Everything is 'God's' - everything is 'God'):The major difference between the Hindu and the Muslim is that Believes in the common Hindu philosophy of Pantheism i.e. everything is God, the tree is God, God is the sun, the moon is God, the snake is God, the monkey is God, the human being is God.The Muslims believe that everything is God's. God with and apostrophe 's'. Everything belongs to God, the tree belongs to God, the sun belongs to God, the moon belongs to God, monkey belongs to God, the human being belongs to God.Thus Spake the major difference between the Hindus and the Muslims is the apostrophe 's'. The Hindu says everything is God. The Muslim says everything is God's, God with an apostrophe 's'. If we can solve the difference of the apostrophe 's', the Hindus and the Muslims will be united. The Holy Qur'an says, "Come to common terms as between us and you", the which is the first term? "That we worship none but Allah", so lets come to common terms by analyzing the scripture of the Hindus and the Muslims.
4) the most popular amongst all the Hindu Scriptures is the Bhagwad Geeta.
"Those Whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires worship demigods" that is "Those who are materialistic, they worship demigods" i.e. besides the true God.[Bhagwad Geeta Ch 7 Verse 20]According to the interpretation given by "Swami Dhrupadha 'means' false god they worship, worship Idols.I am undetermined, invisible to the sense organs, the one who has Unthinkable shape, the one who is beyond the weaknesses, the constant and the one who spread everywhere[Bhagwad Geeta Verse Ch 12: 3-4]

CONCEPT OF GOD IN Sikhism

The best definition that any Sikh can give regarding the concept of Almighty God in Sikhism, is quote the "Mul Mantra '- the fundamental creed of Sikhism, roomates Occurs in theBeginning of Shri Guru Granth Sahib at the beginning, i.e. of Shri Guru Granth Sahib or JapojiMulmatra '-'Only one God exists'. And He is called by 'Dadru', - the 'Creator', 'the One free from fear and hatred', 'the Immortal,' Not begotten ',' Self-Existing '' Great and Compassionate '.[Volume 1, Ch. 1, Verse # 1.]

Sikhism strictly Believes in monotheism. And Almighty God, in the unmanifest form is called as 'Ek Omkara' and in the manifest form; He is called as 'Ek Omkara'. And Guru Granth Sahib, he Gave various attributes to this manifest form of Almighty God,

And one the most famous 'Dohas' of SantKabir is Dukhmeinsumren Sukhmeinkarena sab kare koi. Jo sukhmeinsumrenkare, to dukhkahe hoi. 'Everyone remembers God during trouble - no one remembers Him during peace and happiness. The one who remembers him during peace and happiness, why will he have trouble? A Similar message is given in the Holy Qur'an.
"When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favor upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto God, Thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!"[Al-Qur'an Ch. 39, Verse No. 8]

CONCEPT OF GOD IN Zoroastrianism:

God in Zoroastrianism is known as 'Ahura Mazda'. 'Ahura' means 'the Lord' or 'The Master' and 'Mazda' means 'the Wise'; hence 'Ahura Mazda' means 'the Wise Lord' or 'the Wise God'. Ahura Mazda stands for God, in a strictly monotheistic sense.

Does Hijab Mean Only Covering Ones' Hair ???

Islam has strongly emphasized the concept of decency and modesty in the interaction between members of the opposite sex. Dress code is part of that overall teaching. There are two verses in the Qur'an in the which Almighty Allah talks about the issue of decency and hijab as defined Earlier.

The First Verse

In Chapter 24, known as Al-Nur (the Light), in verse 30, Allah commands Prophet Muhammad as follows:
قل للمؤمنين يغضوا من أبصارهم و يحفظوا فروجهم, ذلك أزكى لهم

.
"Say to the believing men that: they should cast down Reviews their glances and guard Reviews their private parts (by being chaste). This is better for them. "

This is a command to Muslim men that they should not lustfully look at women (other than Reviews their own wives); and in order to Prevent any possibility of temptation, they are required to cast Reviews their glances downwards. This is known as "hijabof the eyes".

Then in the next verse, Allah commands the Prophet to address the women:
قل للمؤمنات يغضضن من أبصارهن و يحفظن فروجهن ...

"Say to the believing women that: they should cast down Reviews their glances and guard Reviews their private parts (by being chaste) ..."

This is a Similar command as given to the men in the previous verse regarding "hijab of the eyes".

This hijab of eyes is similar to the teaching of Jesus where he says, "You have heard that it was said by them of old time, you shall not commit adultery. But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. "[2] So if you see a Muslim casting his / her eyes downwards when he / she is talking to a members of opposite sex, this should not be Considered as rude or an indication of lack of confidence - he / she is just abiding by the Qur'anic as well as Biblical teaching.

* * * * *

After "hijab of the eyes" Came the order describing the dress code for women:
و لا يبدين زينتهن إلا ما ظهر منها و ليضربن بخمرهن على جيوبهن ...

"... And not display Reviews their beauty except what is apparent, and they should place Reviews their khumur over Reviews their bosoms ..."

There are two issues about this sentence.

What is the meaning of "khumur" used in this verse?

Khumur خمر is the plural of khimars خمار, the veil covering the head. See any Arabic dictionary like Lisanu 'l-'Arab, Majma'u' l-Bahrayn or al-Munjid.

Al-Munjid, the which is the most popular dictionary in the Arab world, al-khimars defines as "something with the which a woman conceals her head-ما تغطى به المرأة رأسها." Fakhru 'd-Din al-Turayhi in Majma'u' l-Bahrayn (which is a dictionary of Qur'anic and hadith terms) defines al-khimars as "scarf, and it is known as such Because the head is covered with it."

So the word khimar, by definition, means a piece of cloth that covers the head.

Then what does the clause "placing the khumur over the bosoms" mean?

According to the Commentators of the Quran, the women of Medina in the pre-Islamic era used to put Reviews their khumur over the head with the two ends tucked behind and tied at the back of the neck, in the process exposing Reviews their ears and neck. By saying that, "place the khumur over the bosoms," Almighty Allah ordered the women to let the two ends of Reviews their headgear extend onto Reviews their bosoms so that they conceal Reviews their ears, the neck, and the upper part of the bosom also.

This is confirmed by the way the Muslim women of the Prophet's era understood this Commandment of Almighty God. The Sunni sources quote Ummu 'l-mu'minin' A'isha, the Prophet's wife, as follows: "I have not seen women better than Reviews those of al-Ansar (the inhabitants of Medina): when this verse was revealed, all of them got hold of Reviews their aprons, tore them apart, and used them to cover Reviews their heads ...

The meaning of khimars and the context in the which the verse was revealed Cleary talks about concealing the head and then using the loose ends of the scarf to conceal the neck and the bosom. It is absurd to believe that the Qur'an would use the word khimar (which, by definition, means a cloth that covers the head) only to conceal the bosom with the exclusion of the head! It would be like saying to put on your shirt only around the belly or the waist without covering the chest!

Finally the verse goes on to give the list of the mahram - male family members in Whose presence the hijabis not required, such as the husband, the father, the father-in-law, the son (s), and others.

The Second Verse

In Chapter 33 known as al-Ahzab, verse 59, God Gives the following command to Prophet Muhammad:
يا أيها النبي, قل لأزواجك و بناتك و نسآء المؤمنين: يدنين عليهن من جلابيبهن ...

"O Prophet! Say toyour wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers that: they should let down upon Themselves Reviews their jalabib. "

What is the meaning of "jalabib"?

Jalabib جلابيب is the plural of jilbab جلباب, the which means a loose outer garment. See any Arabic dictionary like Lisanu 'l-'Arab, Majma'u' l-Bahrayn or al-Munjid.

Al-Munjid, for instance, defines hijab as "the shirt or a wide dress- القميص أو الثوب الواسع." While al-Turayhi, in Majma'u 'l-Bahrayn, defines it as "a wide dress, wider than the scarf and shorter than a robe, that a woman puts upon her head and lets it down on her bosom ...

This means that the Islamic dress code for women does not only Consist of a scarf that covers the head, the neck and the bosom; It also includes the overall dress that should be long and loose.

So, for instance, the combination of a tight, short sweater with tight-fitting jeans with a scarf over the head does not fulfill the requirements of the Islamic dress code.
