Keep In Mind That No One Can Save You But Allah

Oh no, I have this necklace that protects me, it once save my grandfather from a bullet!

Oh yes, I know my mother had that colorful thing on her hip and that kept her healthy and away from harm.

No really, it is same with my sister, we have this ring that saves us from evil eyes and melts the hearts of those who want to do harm with us.

OKAY. Whoww.
Ever heard such things? I know it’s kinda weird but its happening as we speak.

Have you ever had those amulets? Take them off, wallah we put our trust in Allah Azza Wa Jall not on these things.

Protection comes only from Allah. If you are saved from a strayed bullet, it is from the will of Allah, nothing happens unless He decrees.

Let me remind you of this story that would make you think twice of actually wearing such things.
_____

Jabir Ibn ‘Abdullah Radiyallahu Anhu narrated that they were with the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam in Dhat ar-Riqa’ when they came to a shaded tree and left the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam underneath so that he could sleep. The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam hung up his sword and we dispersed to take shade under the trees.

During this time, we (the Muslims) were at war with the Ghatfan tribes who had begun to pursue us and as the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam was resting under the tree an opening was seen in Muslim ranks.

A man called Ghawrath Ibn Al Harith approached until he stood over the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam with his sword drawn close to the Prophet’s Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam head and said: “Who can save you from me?”

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam neither got scared nor panicked but instead he said: “Allah will stop you.”

When Ghawrath heard these words from the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam, fear overcame his body and he began to tremble that caused his sword to fall from his hand, whereupon the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam took hold of it and said: “Who can save you from me?”

Ghawrath said: “Nobody. The sword is now in your hand so kill me if you must.”

Instead of killing or hurting the man, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam with his ability to forgive and pardon in the most surprising of situations showed remission and further invited him to submit to Islam.

Ghawrath may have not submitted to Islam that time, but when he came back to his people, he told them: “I have come back to you having been with the best of people.”

And Allah says in the Qur’an: You are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah.” 3:110
______

Yes, we know that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam was a man not to be killed, but realize O my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, if it was not with the Will and Protection of Allah Azza Wa Jall, they could have hurt him instead, but when the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam spoke and mentioned the name of Allah Azza Wa Jall, his enemy trembled with fear! Allahu’akbar!

How powerful is Allah that with the mentioning of His Name, their knees tremble and they get that change of heart.

Remember, O Muslim, when you submitted to Islam, you submitted to Allah in completion. So why look for protection other than His Protection! O Muslim, you know well that only Allah owns the Protection that no army can defeat nor any calamity can destroy! Allahu’akbar! So put your trust in him and not from things that can be worn and be worn out for His Protection never dies for He never dies!
_____

And we pray that Allah Azza Wa Jall blankets us all with His Protection every single millisecond and that with that we remember glorifying His Name not only at the tip of our tongue but in the core of our hearts!

Aameen
