Allah Chose You

Oh, you didn’t know?
Well, I am here to remind you of this very fact.

I do not even know how to start this one, because there are so many things that come to my mind just to let you know how blessed you are because you are a Muslim, not by your name, not by your race but because of Allah’s choice, and what better choice is there other than Allah’s?!

How can we be so ungrateful?

Let me remind you of the story of ‘Umar Ibn Al Khattab Radiyallahu Anhu, yes you may know about his conversion story but what I wanted to point out here is that his conversion was actually an answered prayer of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam, a choice made and given by Allah.

Narrated by Ibn Umar RA, the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam made du’a to Allah saying “O Allah, help Islam with one of the two men that is more beloved to You: Abu Jahl or ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab.”

…And the more beloved of the two to him was ‘Umar.”

What is the point of sharing this story? To make you realize that like ‘Umar Ibn Al Khattab, Allah also chose you to be His Slave. 

That someone made du’a for your guidance, oh little did you know how much your parents made du’a for you, or your friend or some stranger from the street, but do you even recognize this blessing that was given to You?

O my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, this is the month of the Qur’an, the month of forgiveness upon forgiveness, would you just let this Ramadhan pass by without making an impact and change in your life? Should this be one of those wasted Ramadhans? 

Take heed O sound soul! You are a choice of Allah! You have been chosen by the Greatest One which makes you a great choice! Allahu’akbar!

Allah chose you. Amongst billions of people, He chose you.

There must be something in you, I may not know or we may not know that but surely Allah knows what that something is, so make sure that it is your heart! Do not part from the Qur’an, do not part from His Guidance, do not part from His Choice,

O Muslim do not part from Allah!
Do not part from Allah!
